Who is this class for:
This course is intended specifically for genderqueer, non-binary, trans, and other gender non-conforming folx. There is no prerequisite and this course is open to all skill levels.
Description:
While all Hammerstone courses are open to trans, genderqueer, and non-binary folx, we recognize that these groups often face additional hostility specific to their gender identity. In the spirit of supporting all minorities in trades education, we offer this class as a joyful affinity space for folx who identify in these categories. Offered during Pride Month, we enjoy creating a celebratory atmosphere during our GQ/NB specific courses.
The skills and topics taught in this course are the same as in our other Basic Carpentry Skills 101 courses. Starting from the very basics, we walk you through the safe use of hand and power tools while building a pair of sawhorses.
