Who is this class for:
This course is open to women-identifying and non-binary folx as well as trans men.
Prerequisite: This course has no prerequisite. In Cabinetry Basics courses we review all the necessary basic carpentry and woodworking skills.
Description:
The craft of cabinetmaking is rooted in fine woodworking, but requires more of a production mentality. Beyond building the carcasses and doors, the appearance of most cabinets is determined by the doors and drawer fronts. Learning to build a frame and panel door is a useful skill for cabinetmaking and furniture making alike.
In this class we will use a variety of woodworking tools to build the doors and drawer fronts for the cabinets built in class the previous week.
Sliding Scale Payment:
Since 2020, we have offered a sliding scale for all of our course offerings. Materials costs are not included in the sliding scale. Please choose a tuition amount that you can afford to attend this class.
